Earlier this year I traveled to Gothenburg, Sweden for work. I really loved the city, even though being Jan/Feb it was pretty cold most of the time, especially for someone from South Carolina. At light, the city really was beautiful, especially in the fog.

Found this interesting, would love your thoughts... With the growth of legalized betting in the US, the newest thing you can bet on are elections? As a political science major in college, I find this disturbing as voting is a right to me, not something to make money off of. Will candidates be able to bet on themselves or their opponents? Could a candidate be "paid off" to throw an election for a pay-off? Online gambling on sports (not just on the outcome of games, but often on every play), seems to be a bad idea especially as more cases come forward of players gambling on their own games or being accused of throwing performances to benefit gamblers. https://lnkd.in/gwbttxkn

I'm lucky to live so close to the Blue Ridge Parkway now, even though I don't make it up there as often as I'd like. When I do, I always hope for dramatic clouds, but even a few clouds can make for shadows and light playing along the ridges and valleys dropping off into the distance.

From a few years ago when I had just got my first "real" DSLR, a Canon USA 7D. I was living in Aiken and loved going to Augusta, GA along the riverwalk and really loved the calm reflections on the Savannah River this evening when I took this photo which is still one of my favorites! #rustedrailimages

Patrice and I drove back on Sunday along a section of the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina south from Asheville. This section includes many tunnels and some scenic overlooks. The clouds were not too dramatic but I've always loved this old dead tree which I've taken many photos of over the years. The Cradle of Forestry offers a great visit just down US276 and makes a great stop along the parkway. Brevard is down the mountain and offers hotels, B&Bs, gas and many food selections.
