SABANY held its second annual golf outing on June 20, 2024 at Chelsea Piers. This annual event gives those who are interested but inexperienced exposure to golf in a low pressure environment. Our members have the opportunity to learn from a golf pro and practice their new skills. It’s also a unique opportunity for experienced golf players to not only practice but also share their tips and tricks with those learning. Thank you to all who attended to make our second annual golf outing a success!

On Thursday, May 30, 2024 SABANY held its first ever Judicial Reception at the Rubin Museum of Art. The Reception celebrated the increase in South Asian representation on the bench and recognized those who took the path less traveled to allow for such representation today. We heard from the Honorable Hon. L. Austin D'Souza (he/him), Juvaria Khan of The Appellate Project (TAP), and Justin Dews of King & Spalding on the importance of diversity on the bench and how our community benefits from having those on the bench who understand legal concerns particular to South Asians. The Reception also served as a unique opportunity for those on the bench to mentor individuals considering judicial office. We hope the connections fostered at our first Judicial Reception encourage the next generation of South Asian attorneys to follow in the path of judges today and continue to fight for justice and equality from the bench. Thank you to our vendors: 📍Rubin Museum of Art 🍴TAGMO 📸 Brittany Ting ☕️ Kolkata Chai Co.
