  • Quick and Cheap Organizing While swapping my son's winter comforter for his quilt in his walk-in closet, I realized that when I organized his custom build closet, I didn't get him something to hold his baseball caps. It was not a big deal at the time because we had lots of room to just place the hats on the shelf. So, I went on a hunt for something cheap and that would function for my son's closet.  You see, my son has a #closet that has one entire wall is pretty much useless.  If you put anything on this wall, it needed to be pretty flat or he would bang into it all the time. As proof, I left the price tag on it so you could see it.  It had lots of hooks great for hats and I thought the Visit the blog for more details. #sabrinasorganizing https://lnkd.in/eESqyCrE #HomeOrganizingtips #ClosetOrganizing #ClosetOrganizingTips #hatrack

  • Creating a Small Business 1099 tracking sheet for your 1099s will make your process easier at the beginning of the year for the prior year. This week, we are sharing how to create this tracking sheet to add to your small business end-of-year tasks. Table of contentsHow to Create an Easy Small Business 1099 Tracking SheetFollow the steps below to create a customized small business 1099 Checklist.Order the current year 1099-NEC, 1099-MISC, and 1096 forms in August/SeptemberGet totals together for each recipientWhat to do in January?Add 1099-misc recipients to your tracking sheet.Write the mail-out date on the tracking sheet for each person.Write down on the tracking sheet when you mail it to the federal and state. First, have a software application and track the vendors. Place all the Nonemployee Compensation recipients in a vendor account for 1099-NEC. And all the other 1099-MISC recipients in a vendor account for 1099-MISC. Your tracking software may already do this for you. This will make it easy at the end of the year to find all the accounts for each person and how much they made. Some applications may have the new form embedded in their software. But others may not. If you want to keep it separate, track the names of the people in a separate spreadsheet. Sort the report by account or by payee so you can easily determine the amount for the entire year. This information is easy to collect when you use an application like Quicken or QuickBooks. But what about the process of making sure the right people get the right 1099?
