Today is Children's Advocacy Center Day in North Carolina. The SAFEchild Advocacy Center is one of 55 CACs in our state that served 12,141 children in 2023, providing child medical evaluations, forensic interviews, victim advocacy and mental health services free of charge to children and families. More simply put, our state's CACs provide hope and healing to hurting children and their families. April is #ChildAbusePreventionMonth, 30 days for all of us to stand together to prevent abuse and neglect and advocate for all families to receive the resources and support they need. Within the 20,000 square feet of SAFEchild’s new home at 2841 Kidd Road in Raleigh, we are advocating for children and families every day through our free support, prevention and intervention programs.
