These grains are used to create our high-rye and low-rye whiskeys that are both triple distilled and matured for 4-6 years before being blended in small 20-barrel batches. The blending of two straight whiskeys gives complexity, while our triple distillation process enhances its distinct smoothness.

Sagamore Spirit is proud to announce that we brought home the gold at the 2024 Bartender Spirits Awards. We received the Gold Award for our Sagamore Double Oak Rye Whiskey (91 points) and Sagamore Small Batch Rye Whiskey (90 points). In addition, our Sagamore Cask Strength Rye Whiskey also received a Silver ranking (83 points). Thank you to the Bartender Spirit Awards for the high praise and for recognizing our dedication to Maryland Rye Whiskey, further solidifying our commitment to exceptional Rye Whiskey.

We partnered with our friends Boordy Vineyards Inc, Maryland's world-class winemaking legends, to create this unique spirit. This rye whiskey boasts a unique minerality thanks to aging in Albarino casks crafted from locally grown grapes. We aged our 4-year-old straight rye whiskey for an additional 3 years and 6 months to yield a spirit of flavors of nectarine, honeysuckle, and fragrant oak, balanced with a crisp acidity, creating a taste that will leave you wanting more. This new flagship expression is made entirely at our distillery, furthering our commitment to reviving Maryland’s whiskey legacy. Sagamore Rye Whiskey Small Batch is a promise fulfilled after opening the Sagamore Distillery in 2017, and it is now available worldwide. This expression is a blend of our innovative triple-distilled high rye and low rye mash bills. Aged 4-6 years and hand-bottled in 20-barrel batches, it's a modern take on Maryland's rye tradition.
