Fenton First Presbyterian Church has made a significant impact in our community by donating 40 backpacks to children in foster care. These backpacks will help ensure that these kids have the resources they need as they head back to school. Join us in celebrating this generous act of kindness and support for foster children! Together, we can make a difference in their lives. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this initiative! #FosterCare #CommunitySupport #BackToSchool

Serving people as an expression of the love of Christ
About us
For almost 90 years, Samaritas has served others as an expression of the love of Christ with programs to help Michigan’s disadvantaged families, and individuals thrive. Samaritas is the state’s largest foster care and adoption organization, with a full suite of family preservation programs and options like Substance Use Disorder (SUD) services to keep families together. We are one of the largest providers of refugee services, resettling families from all over the world. We provide senior care and living communities with a full continuum of services, including independent and assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing options within a faith-based family community. Samaritas is all about home, offering housing solutions for adults with developmental disabilities, homeless families, and affordable living communities for those who qualify for HUD housing.

Meet Marianna Velan, who fled Ukraine with her two boys, navigating through Poland, Germany, and a refugee camp in Mexico before finding safety here. With our help, Marianna transitioned from sleeping on the floor to becoming a caseworker at Samaritas, helping others like her. Liliana Myasnitskaya, a supervisor for post-resettlement at Samaritas, also fled Ukraine and now dedicates her life to aiding fellow refugees. Samaritas is currently assisting an increasing number of Ukrainian families, providing housing, furniture, transportation, and more. Help us support these resilient individuals and families. Your contributions can make a significant difference in their lives. https://lnkd.in/gXBM666R #SupportRefugees #HumanitarianAid #UkraineCrisis #CommunitySupport
