  • There’s nothing quite like getting out of town. …And nothing quite like flying back home to SD. I look forward to this trip all year around going back to visit my sisters in West Virginia and seeing old friends and family. And of course, the best part of it all is seeing our boys hang with their cousins for all kinds of summer fun. All kinds. We you can see, we did everything. It’s funny how a little time away changes everything because we are back and I just feel in the zone. We’re kicking off media day next week and got the event ramping up in Sept! Feels like end of summer, can’t wait to head into the second half of this year 🚀

  • The biggest value add we can bring ⬇️ A 2020 survey by Founder Institute revealed that 70% of entrepreneurs reported feeling lonely. One thing you’ll frequently hear the entrepreneurs influencers and top leaders say is that it’s lonely at the top. And the bottom for that matter when you’re in the building stage. And the more of that have been through it, come out the other side with a different vision in mind. A space that’s collaborative, collective and like minded. Whenever I’m asked what I’m most proud of, that is hands down my first response. This community and the support I see that you all bring together even when I’m not in the room.   • The most important season of my business you probably didn’t see coming… And it’s totally flying under the radar. Every year around this time, I take a step back to reflect. Not to pause, not to let off the gas, simply reflect. About YOU. During summer with travel and families schedules we have a brief pause in our bigger events and while I also have my own family travel plans coordinated during this time, it is also one of the most important seasons for my business… Of course my primary focus is always on growth on pushing myself, my goals and my metrics of how I measure my success. But it’s mostly been a deep dive into my current relationships. This year, I’ve tried to make some big changes to how we show up for our current community. And trying to find opportunities for little touches in every single one of those relationships. Touches that make them feel valued, seen and appreciated. Because I am grateful for each of you. Beyond showering you with some extra attention (and some of your favorite treats), I want to show up for your business as well. And leverage my position to best serve our SDRP community and partners.   • The two most important things ⤵️ I’ll be the first to admit - this is not a magic bullet. But it one of the most strategic partnerships one can make. Look I get it, when things tighten out first inclination is to tighten everything up. But it’s also the most important time to stay in front of your network and community to stay top of time. And thats where I see most business owners fall short. 1️⃣ Strategy 2️⃣ Collaboration Understanding who your target audience is and how to stay in front of them will always be your best way to a cash flowing business, right?   • Ever have one of these moments? One thing I’ve always found fascinating about all the successful entrepreneurs I’ve met, interviewed, learned about and printed stories for was their moment… the moment it all shifted. The moment they broke through the adversity and transformed not only their business but their life. And what I love most about that moment is watching people tell it as they recall their state beforehand and look back almost bewilderment because it’s so far from how far they’ve come. I feel that way about this story about and my dad and it’s one that feels different every time I look back on it because it’s resonated so deeply and differently at so many parts of my life depending on what I was going through. I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve still got a lot of work to do but I’m also damn proud of the name I’m building for myself.
