Amid the changing media arts landscape with a new leader at the helm, Outside the Lens questioned how it could continue to respond to the needs of young people - amplifying their voices in a powerful way - and sustain its growth trajectory. Lead Partner C'Anne Vaughn and Partners Veronica Ford, Steve Ness, and Joyce Ross facilitated a process for the nonprofit that resulted in the development of a three-year strategic plan entitled Building a Vibrant Future. “With SVP's help we were able to advance our key objectives (strategic planning and board development) with intention, inclusion and collaboration. SVP served as a thought partner and facilitator which allowed us to have transparent conversations with staff, board and the community, ” shared Sarah Beckman, Executive Director. The roadmap now exists as a living document allowing the nonprofit to adapt to the evolving needs of the community while ensuring alignment with its mission and values. Read more on the blog.

Twelve months ago, Crisis House was in the midst of leadership and staffing transitions, unsure of what the future would look like. Lead Partner Ivy Gordon and Partners Nathan Hershkowitz and Stephanie Jensen collaborated with the nonprofit to create a roadmap to achieve its bold future vision. “While templates and documents are useful tools, what truly revolutionized our organization was SVP's belief in our potential, their conviction that we have the essential resources to serve more people more effectively, and their unwavering support and guidance,” shared Executive Director Kelcie Parra, SHRM-CP, LSS.

To fuel this growth, Executive Director Wesley Burt knew he needed to invest in the nonprofit’s board of directors. Lead Partner Tom Watlington and Partners Richard Bockoffr, Nathan Hershkowitz, and Joyce Ross returned in a follow-on consulting project to provide guidance in board development. At the close of the project, +BOX has successfully recruited two new board members, and engagement among its existing directors has soared. Read more on the blog.
