Milo was born with a rare condition called Robins sequence. With the help of the Craniofacial Center care team, Milo’s health improved dramatically after Orthodontic Airway Plate therapy at Seattle Children’s, the second center in the United States to offer this unique treatment option.

Hope. Care. Cure.
About us
Hope. Care. Cure. These three simple words capture what we are here to do. That’s because at Seattle Children’s, compassionate care, breakthrough research and generous donors come together every day for the children, and the families, who need us. Over a century later, we continue to fight relentlessly to make sure there’s no such thing as “out of options” and to make sure kids who “didn't have a chance” can have the childhoods they deserve. At Seattle Children’s, we’re united by a compelling mission: We provide hope, care and cures to help every child live the healthiest and most fulfilling life possible. #HopeCareCure

Seattle Children’s is spotlighting workforce members from our regional clinic locations who bring hope, care, and cures to children and their families. Meet Amy, a Registration Coordinator at Seattle Children’s Olympia Clinic. “As a college student, I focused on child development and worked on research projects at UW, knowing I wanted to work with children and families. After teaching preschool, I joined Seattle Children's in inpatient and family services, and now at the front desk of the Olympia clinic, I find our patients and families to be the most rewarding part of my job.”

Jeff Sperring, MD, Governor Jay Inslee, Secretaries Jilma Meneses and Ross Hunter and Representative Tina Orwall were joined by other leaders in a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the opening of the Lake Burien Transitional Care Facility. The effort, a first of its kind public private partnership between Seattle Children’s, MultiCare Health System and the State of Washington, is another step in building out a continuum of care for mental and behavioral health services for our youth.

For people with disabilities, following specialized diets, like gluten-free, dairy-free and nut-free, is challenging and expensive. The Food Security team has partnered with the Disability Inclusion Network to get more allergy-friendly food items in the Children's food pantry.
