📣 We’re honored to announce that our SEND U.S. Director, Michelle Atwell, MPA, has been chosen as one of just fifty-five North American delegates to represent the North American church and SEND International at Lausanne 2024—a historic, once-in-a-generation event. This global gathering will unite Christian leaders and practitioners from around the world to celebrate the gospel and renew a collective commitment to spreading the good news to the ends of the earth. The Lausanne Movement, launched in 1974 by Billy Graham, began with 2,700 Christian leaders from 150 countries in Lausanne, Switzerland. Since then, it has been instrumental in fueling the global Church's efforts for missions. This year’s gathering in Seoul, South Korea, continues that legacy, building on the foundations set in Manila (1989) and Cape Town (2010). 🙏 Please join us in praying that God will use this gathering to unify his Church and advance the good news of Christ. As we return to work, school, and day-to-day life after having spent time with our family and friends over the Memorial Day weekend, we would like to honor those, who having personally served and survived World War II, were called to return to service to share the love of our Lord’s gospel and reach the lost in the war-torn and broken Pacific Rim. 🙏 🙏 🙏 These soldiers, burdened with the spiritual needs of Filipinos and Japanese, returned to Asia after the war as missionaries, creating the Far Eastern Gospel Crusade (FEGC) which is known today as SEND International. Over the decades, SEND International has expanded its gospel mission across Asia, Alaska, Europe, and beyond, planting churches, training local leaders, and embracing a multi-national, multicultural team of missionaries dedicated to proclaiming Christ among the unreached. We hope that as you return today you take a moment to pray for all that have lost their lives in service to our country and to all those that chose to return and continue to return to service to serve God’s people. In many northern villages, salmon is a staple. 🍽 When the Stamberg family lived in Naknek, every church potluck and community event, no matter the time of day, included salmon. 😀 Even Easter brunch. For their family, they “can” most of their salmon in a pressure cooker and use it to make "salmon spread" by mixing it with mayo, salt, pepper, and dill seasoning. They then eat it with crackers. It's one of their go-to meals after church on Sunday! 🙌 SEND is a global community of goers and senders bringing gospel transformation to unreached people. Whitehorse, Yukon, is a small yet remarkably diverse city in subarctic Canada. Over the past decade, immigrants from numerous countries have ventured to and through Whitehorse, seeking economic and educational opportunities despite the extreme cold and remote location. The mission of SEND Diaspora North America has expanded to this unique setting. Now, dedicated workers are stationed in Whitehorse, Yukon, engaging with both unreached and unchurched communities. Pray that as immigrants and international students arrive in Whitehorse, they would have a transformative encounter with Jesus followers who would not only share the gospel but also equip them to establish discipleship groups both in Yukon and abroad.

Pray for open doors, receptive hearts, and the blessings of Jesus Christ to be abundant. Give: Missionaries and ministries rely on generous gifts from people like you. When you give, missionaries can go, sharing the gospel through tangible acts of service and love with people who otherwise may not have access. Go: Explore opportunities to serve as a missionary. We are actively seeking committed individuals and families willing to live among the unreached and share the love of Christ. Mobilize: Encourage your church community to partner with organizations like SEND International to help support individuals and families called to serve in ministry. Celebrate: Celebrate and publicly acknowledge individuals or groups in your church or community who are actively engaged in outreach. This recognition may inspire others to follow their example.
