Seyfarth’s #innovative approach to legal service was featured from a new angle in The American Lawyer, "'The New Reality': Summer Associate Training Zeros In on Generative AI.” The article underscored the firm’s culture “As AI becomes all the rage, Seyfarth is leaning into its history of innovation.” Lorie Almon highlighted some of the #artificialintelligence tools Seyfarth has used including Microsoft Copilot and Doc Q&A, which was created by the firm’s in-house #innovation team at Seyfarth Labs. Almon told Am Law that a key element of the Seyfarth program was a “think tank” that allowed summer associates to discuss their experience and ideas about the technology with Seyfarth lawyers and staff, and the summers “universally” came away with more nuanced feelings and more comfort about it. Seyfarth partner Kevin M. Young, also teaches #AI and innovation as an adjunct at the University of Georgia Law School, noted that the Seyfarth summer associates AI training program and his class are similarly designed to be “very hands-on,” adding that “the way to get better is to do it. Dive in. Learn what’s out there. Have those conversations and get comfortable being in the mode of curiosity and teamwork.” #TeamSeyfarth https://ow.ly/McGn50SQpiJ

We recently had the pleasure of hosting a fantastic event for our clients to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA). It was a wonderful occasion to reflect on the significant impact ERISA has had on employee benefits and retirement security over the past five decades. A highlight of the event was our special guest, James Gelfand, President and CEO of The ERISA Industry Committee (ERIC). James shared his invaluable insights on the latest developments in Washington and provided a forward-looking perspective on the future of ERISA. He delved into potential legislative and regulatory changes on the horizon, offering our clients and attorneys a comprehensive understanding of what to expect and how to prepare for these changes. “Congress is starting to pay attention to ERISA in a way that they haven’t in a long time, and that’s a big deal,” James said. “While ERISA has had many, many changes over the last 50 years, it’s going strong. There are more people in these plans than ever.” Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this celebration a success. Together, we continue to navigate the evolving landscape of employee benefits, ensuring we are well-positioned to support our clients and their employees for the next 50 years and beyond. #SeyfarthEB #ERISAis50 #EmployeeBenefits #ERIC #WashingtonUpdate #FutureOfERISA https://ow.ly/TpfQ50SQ14m
