How do I start a Salesforce career? Just use Trailhead it's free... unfortunately that's the advice many Salesforce professionals give... it's great as part of the answer, but assuming that's all a person needs to start a career is wildly oversimplified. It's always interesting to me when I hear someone say starting a Salesforce career is hard, but then also say paid training for help landing a job is bad and to only use the totally free content. To me that's like saying it's really hard to build your home yourself, but you "can" do it by watching free videos online. The info to build your own home is all there, so why ever pay someone to help you?!?!? People say that the biggest money choices in your life are homes and cars... they're wrong. It's your career. A Salesforce career will pay you millions and your home likely won't cost millions. Yet we pay people to help us build cars and homes and often tell others (especially in the SF ecosystem) that paying for help with your career is a bad move. Imagine thinking all home builders were tricking you because you can build a home yourself...
