We just cut the ribbon on our new hangar expansion at Kissimmee Gateway Airport (ISM) to meet the growing demand for more general aviation aircraft storage. ✈️ 🎉 Sheltair currently manages 86 T and box hangar units totaling approximately 115,973 square feet. With the addition of 19 new units from this expansion, the total now reaches 105 hangar units. We had an incredible day hosting 25 enthusiastic girls from Girls Inc of Pinellas County for an unforgettable field trip at Sheltair PIE on July 12th! 🚁✈️ The girls, ranging from 5th to 10th grade, got a hands-on look at the aviation industry, touring our facilities, exploring fire trucks and rescue helicopters, and even sitting in the cockpit of a private aircraft! Lisa Holland, President of Sheltair, expressed her enthusiasm: “At Sheltair, we are committed to fostering the next generation of aviators and supporting the youth in our communities. This field trip is a testament to our dedication to empowering young girls and showing them the endless possibilities within the aviation industry.” A huge shoutout to Air Ambulance Worldwide for providing the girls with an unforgettable cockpit adventure, St Petersburg-Clearwater Airport Fire Rescue for the awe-inspiring water cannon demo, and Pinellas County Sheriff's Office for the thrilling stories and helicopter tour that had everyone on the edge of their seats! Sheltair is proud to break ground on a new chapter at Melbourne (MLB) with our latest GA T-Hangar Complex! 🎉 Covering over 34,500 square feet and offering 30 individual T-hangars, this massive project will cater specifically to single and light twin aircraft pilots. 🛩️ Situated on nearly 4.5 acres of premier apron space, the complex will include 37 passenger-vehicle parking spaces and two restrooms, ensuring comfort and convenience for our tenants and their passengers. Located adjacent to the airfield’s control tower and with easy access to our FBO terminal, this project underscores our commitment to supporting the needs of the smaller aircraft community.
