Digitalization is essential for a modern and secure grid. ⚡ At #CIGRE we announced an agreement to acquire a 76% stake in GRIDPULSE d.o.o., a leader in line monitoring and rating of overhead lines. By joining forces, we aim to combine line and substation monitoring to enhance grid management, and ultimately improve electricity reliability and efficiency. This represents a significant step towards modernizing the grid, globally.

No, we haven't run out of colors. But this year we are celebrating the 120th anniversary of our turbine factory in Berlin. And even though we are #teampurple 💜, this time we are letting the original black-and-white photos from the past decades speak for themselves. A story of exciting innovation that is far from over.

Ramping up green hydrogen in Germany! ⬆️ We will be supplying a 280-megawatt electrolyzer system to German utility EWE AG. The plant is expected to go into operation in 2027 and will provide up to 26,000 tons of green hydrogen annually for various industrial applications in the region. Collaborations like this are key to achieving sustainable, reliable, and affordable energy.

The first multi-terminal HVDC hub in northern Germany marks a significant milestone in our collaborative effort to innovate the power grid of tomorrow. By joining forces with 50Hertz Transmission GmbH, Amprion GmbH, TenneT TSO GmbH, and TransnetBW GmbH, we are pioneering the development of direct current (DC) switching stations for multi-terminal HVDC systems. This advanced HVDC technology will allow for the efficient transmission of energy over long distances with reduced losses and at the same time establish a grid network instead of a point-to-point connection. This is not only a technological breakthrough, but also a big leap towards realizing the future power grid of Europe.
