    SEO traffic down? Media could be the reason. 😉 Our B2B SaaS client saw a drop in organic clicks, but nothing seemed broken on the SEO side despite the drop. The culprit? Our paid search team launched new landing pages that performed way better than before on branded terms. This unintentionally captured clicks that would have gone to our top-ranking organic results. The campaign siphoned nearly one-to-one the lost organic clicks, lowering the client's paid cost-per-click. Since the same budget was spent, we actually ended up driving more site traffic overall than in previous months without spending more; it was just the makeup of where the clicks came from (organic vs. media) that changed. Thanks to our cross-channel reporting, we could explain the full picture and find new targeting and spend tests to uncover just how much budget is needed for branded campaigns. In the end, the better-performing landing pages and refined budget allow us to transfer the excess budget to other campaigns where it's needed. 📊 Unexpected insights can lead to big wins.
