We're big fans of utilizing the power of data and AI to shape the world for the better. Meet Greyparrot, a startup using AI to make waste management more efficient and reduce methane emissions.  In 2022 alone, Greyparrot's AI system tracked “32 billion waste items across 67 categories,” identifying 86 tonnes of material per facility that could be recycled instead of going to landfill. We're excited to continue seeing all the ways data and AI merge with human innovation for a brighter future. Who's with us?! 🙋♂️🙋♀️ #AI #ClimateChange #Sustainability #GreenTech #WasteManagement #Recycling #Innovation #FutureOfEarth #EcoFriendly #GreenInitiative"

Excess Telecom was facing a critical turning point. After their Chief Information Officer left, the company’s data infrastructure was in disarray—inefficient, costly, and incapable of handling the demands of a rapidly growing customer base. Without a solid data foundation, ET was struggling to keep up, and their operational efficiency was suffering. That’s where Silver Creek Insights (SCi) came in. We didn’t just implement new technologies; we reimagined ET’s entire data strategy. Our approach was systematic and data-driven, starting with a comprehensive assessment of ET’s existing systems. From there, we implemented a scalable and secure data architecture using industry-leading tools like Snowflake, Sigma, and dbt. The results were nothing short of transformational: - Report Generation Time: Reduced by 90%—from over 40 hours to just 5 minutes. - Technology Spend: Optimized by more than 50%, saving ET significant costs while enhancing performance. - Data Accessibility: Integrated multiple third-party data sources into a unified platform, significantly improving data coherence across the organization. - Technology Adoption: Achieved 100% adoption of the new data systems and processes within ET’s team. Client Testimonial: “The transformation was night and day. We went from struggling with outdated systems to having a cutting-edge data infrastructure that supports every aspect of our business,” said Mary Beth Ottley COO of Excess Telecom. Today, ET stands as a leader in the telecommunications industry, not just for their services but for their ability to leverage data to drive success. At Silver Creek Insights, we’re proud to have played a key role in this transformation, turning ET’s data challenges into powerful opportunities for growth and innovation. This is what happens when you combine strategic vision with the right technology. The results speak for themselves. #DataTransformation #Innovation #TechSolutions #Telecom

Robotic roots, developed by the I-Wood project, are designed to mimic natural plant roots. They interact with real plants and fungi underground. This network of roots and fungi is vital for nutrient exchange and communication among plants, helping to maintain healthy ecosystems.  One of the primary goals of robotic roots is to foster and optimize the natural symbiosis between plants and fungi. By enhancing these relationships, the roots could improve the resilience of ecosystems, particularly in areas facing environmental stressors like climate change and habitat loss. The roots are equipped with advanced technology that allows them to change shape and grow in response to environmental factors such as soil composition, temperature, and humidity. This adaptability is key to helping them navigate complex underground environments.  As these robotic systems help to maintain and even boost plant health, they could play a vital role in ensuring sustainable food production. By promoting healthier plants and more effective nutrient cycles, they could help secure the food supply for future generations. We're always excited when we see the new and creative ways scientists are leaning on tech to make the world greener and more sustainable. What do you think...could robotic roots be an answer to declining ecosystems?
