Morning Y’all, @SimpleLifeLaundry has a YouTube channel, where we will be adding videos of laundry tips n tricks, but I also do a daily drive in video where I share random laundromat stories or discuss life principalities that have helped me throughout my journey. This morning after I did episode #50 I had another thought about Anxiety and made Episode #51 I wanted to share this one as I know a lot of people battle Anxiety and we are living in a time with a lot of uncertainty about the future. No matter what our current situation, things will and can get better and ultimately YOU are in control. Yesterday was a crazy day with power outage, AC fuse failure, massive rainstorm that flooded Orem and the laundromat, but things are back to normal today and the laundromat is rockin’ & rollin 🔥❤️🔥❤️ Sofia & Celia & Carlos had my back while I was out of town and I’m excited to be back at the laundromat tomorrow! Nothing helps make things better then spending time doing laundry 🧺 #OremStrong #YourLaundromat

Today was a day of what can go wrong, will go wrong! The power went out at 6am and wasn’t restored until 1pm. We had roofers scheduled to patch some new make up air penetrations but because the power was out, and I’m out of town, our automatic sliding door was locked and they couldn’t get in, so we rescheduled. Well this afternoon Orem got hit with a huge thunderstorm and the roof was leaking in our mechanical room, behind the dryer wall and inside the laundromat and the floors were super wet. On top of all that during the power outage our AC blew a fuse and we had to get the AC guys onsite tonight to repair. After getting the machines back connected to the gateway and having Celia power cycle tonight, things are back up and running well!! Our employees Sofia and Celia really did a great job today overcoming all the adversity!! Life is very hard sometimes, and all we can do is our best and try to always keep a smile on our faces 😆 even if sometimes we are laughing with tears of frustration 😂 Big Shout out to my friend Carlos for helping make our pickup and delivery orders while I’ve been out of town. It truly takes a village and a great community to make magic happen 🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 Thanks to our neighbors Savers for keeping me updated as well!! Day 1 of what is going to be a great 3 days! Waleed and Jessica Cope are some of the most genuine people! The desire to make people better is something rare & as I get older I see and think about things much differently! Also got to meet Brian “the laundry genius” who played a big part in my entry into this industry! Bryan Hartstock, my CSM from Cents was in the house, as was Josh Reynolds from Laundrylux. Met Kumar who is a new owner building his first store in Arlington TX and Rashad an owner of a store in Brooklyn! Also got to connect with Jorge from HamperApp who I’ve messaged on LinkedIn, and met Jesse who helps folks get into franchises (he used to work at Cents). Today was just check-ins and some mingling, but tomorrow I’m going to be a sponge and soak wisdom and inspiration from the laundry industry leaders! Feeling blessed and very fortunate to be here!!
