💧H2O INTRO🤝Johnny H. Pujol of SimpleLab, Inc. He believes that in this era of intense water monitoring, it's vital that the process of sending samples to a lab is easy, efficient, and modern. Johnny also says that being in a group of like-minded organizations, like he is with Spring Point Partners' Delta, helps him stay connected to current issues and make a bigger impact. #water #waternews #waterquality

I have been at the ISWS my entire career, over 35 years. There is no place quite like it. We not only get to do relevant and timely applied research, but we use our research to solve complex problems right now, today. We are also so much more than that, from collecting continuous data water related data (some with over 100 years of record), to developing programs to educate the public, to responding to thousands of requests for help, data, support annually, to working with pioneers in their field, like Tom Prickett. (Yes, I used PLASM back in the day.) I have been so fortunate in my career, spent an entire summer drilling monitoring wells, sampled hundreds of water wells, evaluated arsenic occurrence in groundwater, ran a raingage network, evaluated legionella occurrence in homes on private wells, and so many other things. I feel like I have had 40 jobs. The range of experiences I have been exposed to is amazing. All we are missing today is a national leader who gets what we are. We are looking for someone special who understands the importance of what we do, and shares a vision for continuing our 129 years of excellence into the future.

    >> Unveiling BrainBridge: A Glimpse into Tomorrow's Miracles, Today. Imagine a world where the boundaries of medical science are pushed to their limits, where the impossible becomes possible. Today, I’m beyond excited to share with you BrainBridge, a concept that’s set to redefine our understanding of life and health. BrainBridge isn’t just a concept; it’s a beacon of hope, a promise of a future where terminal illnesses and neurodegenerative diseases bow down to the might of human ingenuity. With advanced robotics and AI, BrainBridge aims to perform head and face transplants, offering a new lease on life to those in dire need. But let’s take a moment to address the elephant in the room: skepticism. Yes, the idea of a head transplant system sounds like something straight out of a sci-fi novel. And you’re right to question it. In fact, a recent surge in online discussions has brought to light that BrainBridge, while a groundbreaking idea, is currently a conceptual project12. The mastermind behind this viral sensation, Hashem Al-Ghaili, is known for his thought-provoking content that challenges our perceptions. BrainBridge has been crafted to test the waters, to see how far we can go in our quest against death1. It’s a conversation starter, a spark that ignites debate and curiosity among scientists, medical professionals, and dreamers alike. So, as we stand at the cusp of what could be the next giant leap for mankind, let’s not shy away from the conversation. Let’s engage, debate, and dream. Because today’s fiction could be tomorrow’s reality. And who knows? Maybe one day, BrainBridge will move from the realm of concepts to the operating table, changing lives forever. Your thoughts and insights are invaluable. Share them below! (Disclaimer: BrainBridge is a conceptual project and not an actual medical procedure available at this time.) —————————————— If you like this post why not subscribe to the fastest growing newsletter about AI, Digital Transformation, Future Trends - from Leaders for Leaders 🔗 https://lnkd.in/erQ7xp-8 And if you want to Master ChatGPT and get the bestseller books, why not check this out: 🔗 https://lnkd.in/ewzEYZMU —————————————— Follow #drstorm press “like” and the 🔔 on my profile and/or share with your network. #technology #digital #future #ChatGPT #AI #MedicalRevolution

US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released the fourth quarter of #UCMR5 results from 2023 on May 16th. The dataset includes at least one sample from 47% of the 10,311 water system expected to participate. Without considering Hazard Index exceedances, 18.6% of water systems have at least one result over the finalized #PFAS MCLs. The number of impacted systems is likely significantly higher, since samples are collected at entry points, and are not reflective of contaminated sources that water systems have temporarily turned out of service at their discretion. Other insights include: -16.1% of systems have PFOA or PFOS > the 4ppt MCLs -2.5% of systems are now showing exceedances of the other individual MCLs, largely comprised of PFHxS (2.3%) -Only 7 total PWSs showing exceedances of either PFNA or GenX without co-occurrence of another compound above an MCL. -Others like Andy Eaton, PhD, BCES have already noted, but I'll reiterate, out of ~24,000 results, there is only ONE detection of one (NEtFOSAA) of the four compounds found in method 537.1 that can't be detected in 533. At this point, I see very little reason to use 537.1. Link to raw data:

My list of the challenges faced by #water providers under the final US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) #PFAS MCLs. I've seen this play out nationwide for years; we work with clients and primacies in more than 20 states now. There isn't enough money, people, systems, media, or testing available for public water systems to succeed. And we know the people - not the polluters - will pay for this unfunded mandate.

Click to view SimpleLab, Inc.'s new primer on the pros and cons of currently-available methods to measure microplastics: https://lnkd.in/g-35HUrw Methods for analyzing #microplastics lack standardization and are rapidly evolving. Ideal approaches for capturing microplastics require unbiased, high-throughput techniques to identify particle size, shape, and polymer type, but such methods are still under development and do not currently exist. SimpleLab emphasizes the necessity for #labs to employ multiple methods simultaneously to ensure highly accurate results and overcome analytical challenges. - #sciencenews #laboratorytesting
