Embracing Continuous Learning and Growth in My Career A Walkthrough about my personal & professional life ( some tips for aspiring managers) Hi, I'm Naveen Yardly, the Regional Operations Manager for Europe at Plintron. I graduated in 2007 with a degree in Electrical and Electronics engineering. My career started in Hyderabad after a brief period of working in technical support in Chennai with the CSS group. I joined IMI Mobile (now part of Cisco Webex) as a trainee and worked there for 13 years. I began in technical roles and moved into account management, handling major accounts like Airtel, Vodafone and Aircel. My work took me to Africa, where I managed key accounts in Zambia and Ivory Coast. My dad worked in the Ordnance Factory in Trichy, involved in weapon manufacturing. My mom was a history teacher who became a full-time homemaker .Growing up in such a supportive environment taught me the value of continuous learning and resilience. I believe in self-learning. While I might have been an average performer in school, my real knowledge came from self-learning, exploring scientific documentaries on  National Geographic and Discovery channels. Today, with platforms like Simplilearn, I stay updated and continuously learn new things. This approach has helped me stay ahead in my career. Transitioning from Electrical and Electronics engineering to working in a software company was challenging. But my ability to understand Engineering and Design concepts quickly and, lead teams has been my strength. Over the years, I have grown in Key Account Management, Business Operations, Customer Success and Customer Relationships. In June 2022, I did my #CSM certification with Simplilearn, which was very helpful. To advance further, I decided to do the A-CSM certification. The trainers were amazing, making learning comfortable and engaging. The interactive group discussions made it a fun learning experience. With the CSM and ACSM certifications, I gained a deeper understanding of Agile Scrum and its best practices. This knowledge has been crucial in my role, helping me lead my team better and ensuring continuous deliveries. My certifications have made me a valuable asset in management. Senior professionals need to upskill to stay competitive. With new technologies emerging every year, continuous learning is essential. Organized courses like those from Simplilearn provide a significant advantage, keeping us updated and prepared for future challenges.
