We transform Libraries. Libraries transform lives.

About us

At the heart of our community, our Library provides a place where everyone can learn, create, study and explore. The San José Public Library Foundation was established in 1987 by a group of community volunteers who understood that a great Library system needed more than public funding. We continue this legacy. Libraries ensure an equal playing field for all, where a community can gather to reconnect, re-engage, and freely access information.
