"Think about architecture daily and study architecture whenever and wherever you are. If you’re in someone’s home or reading books — think, ‘How was this built? How could it be done differently? What would be the effect of any changes?’ Be curious and dare to ask a lot of questions." —Linus Fernström

1950s Magazine Mailorder Plans | Live 3D Modeling in SketchUp Let's try this again! If you caught last week's show, you know we had technical problems with the streaming hardware. This time, we're back on a new setup. The computer gremlins can't stop SketchUp Live! “Seven first-floor rooms on a city lot” boasts a headline in the February 1952 issue of Better Homes & Gardens. The Five Star Home Plan Service gave post-war families access to plans, specifications, a contractor-and-owner agreement, and a cost-finding list of materials—all through the mail. Back then you would have to enclose $5 in a postal money order to the magazine to build from these plans. Today, Aaron can model Five Star Home No. 2202 in a scant couple of hours! See you there! You can watch Aaron's full debate with himself on YouTube - but the results are in. "Guides seem to be great." We finally got through to him. Or rather, he finally got through to himself. Link to the full debate: https://lnkd.in/g3ki4D-u
