We are excited to share the collaborative effort of our partnership with the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and highlight how our data is helping the government and policymakers gain deeper insights into workers’ needs and economic mobility. In this Workforce Currents article, read how the Community and Economic Development team uses anecdotal evidence and new survey data from the nonprofit SkillUp Coalition to reveal the labor market experiences of workers and job seekers who are sometimes underrepresented in the quantitative data. https://lnkd.in/g8CJ9wvY

Commercial Property Executive recently featured a Q&A with our President & CEO Evan Slavik discussing Mark IV’s Victory Logistics District development in Fernley, #Nevada. The multi-phased project spans 4,300 acres and will eventually incorporate tens of millions square feet. The first phase of the #development featuring almost two million square feet was completed in 2022 with its first building recently receiving its LEED certification, which is unique for #industrial properties of this scale and within this region. Beyond the development, Mark IV takes a hyper local approach ingraining itself in the communities in which it invests. According to Slavik, Mark IV has a regional office in Northern Nevada and partners with organizations within the community. One of its partnerships is with SkillUp Coalition, a #nonprofit that helps workers get hired for in-demand jobs. Through this partnership, Mark IV can connect individuals with employers seeking specific skill sets and help to facilitate training. For example, if a company is interested in leasing space at Victory Logistics District and needs 100 employees to service its #logistics business, SkillUp, along with its educational partners such as Western Nevada College, can help identify potential employees in the local community and train them to meet that specific employer’s workforce needs. 💼 Through user feedback and market insights, SkillUp Coalition realized that the people they serve — STARs or people skilled through alternative routes — wanted better access to remote jobs and employers needed more people to fill critically needed remote roles. Last fall, they created a remote job board specifically for jobseekers without a college degree. Already, SkillUp's job board hosts as many as 11,000 job listings per day and has served over 150,000 STARs. The job board is already serving as an important entry point to SkillUp's wraparound services: “Individuals may come in just looking for remote jobs that don't require a degree but ultimately gain access to a comprehensive platform that can help them along the pathway to a high-opportunity career.” Read the full piece at the link in the comments. ⤵ #remotejobs #stars #opportunity #philanthropy
