André Priolli in action at CIGRE Brasil's event in Rio de Janeiro📸André presented global projects that use our advanced power flow control, SmartValve™, to unlock capacity and solve critical grid issues! Thanks to CIGRE-Brasil - Comitê Nacional Brasileiro de Produção e Transmissão de Energia Elétrica for hosting this event which focused on the growing use of FACTS and BESS in Brazil. FACTS refers to static power-electronics devices that were developed to increase power transfer capability, stability, and controllability of AC transmission networks through series and/or shunt compensation. SmartValve is a series-connected FACTS device called a modular Static Series Synchronous Compensator (m-SSSC).
