What a cool night on the mound! A big shoutout to SMUD’s Chief Diversity Officer Jose Bodipo Memba for his impressive first pitch at tonight’s Sacramento River Cats game, representing SMUD and the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce during Doradas Night. Thanks to the River Cats for welcoming Jose, the incoming Board Chair of the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber and for sporting gold uniforms as Los Dorados de Sacramento for MiLB’s Copa de la Diversión. The reason the team wore gold is to symbolize Sacramento’s vibrant community, reflecting its rich cultural heritage, hard work and determination. #SMUD #RiverCats #CommunityChampion #FirstPitchMagic

SMUD is proud to help train the next generation of clean energy workers. This week, SMUD Board Member Dave Tamayo visited a classroom of future clean energy professionals at the Mack Road Valley Hi Community Center, where students are participating in our new apprenticeship program. Through our partnership with NORTHERN CALIFORNIA CONSTRUCTION & TRAINING INC (NCCT), these students are learning essential skills in electrification and electric vehicle supply equipment, preparing them for high-paying jobs in the growing clean energy field. We’re excited to support these students as they take their first steps toward building a sustainable future for our community. A big thanks to Synergy Companies for joining us on this visit and helping inspire the future workforce. #trades #careers
