Bill had a distinguished career in the United States Air Force, from which he retired as a Colonel. Among his decorations is the Bronze Star, awarded for service in the First Gulf War. He then served in several key positions in Washington, including Assistant Administrator for Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs at NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration (2007-2009), and Office Director within the Office of the Secretary of Defense. His company, New Frontier Aerospace, is manufacturing advanced rocket engines to power multiple products for civil, commercial, and defense applications. Miguel Ayala is CEO and Co-Founder of Aphelion Aerospace. Miguel has over 20 years of experience developing launch vehicles and spacecraft including Boeing SLS rocket, United Launch Alliance (ULA) Vulcan rocket, Orion spacecraft and A2100 satellites at Lockheed Martin, Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy rockets at SpaceX, the JAXA: Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency JEM ISS habitat module at Honeywell, and NASA Space Shuttle Solid Rocket Boosters at Northrop Grumman. His company, Aphelion Aerospace, aims to miniaturize and mass-produce space propulsion technology to revolutionize access to and operations in space.
