PRINCIPLE CONSTRUCTION COMPLETES WAREHOUSE FOR TRUCKING COMPANY; New location provides additional trailer parking and storage space. This new 6,200SF building at 1001 Raddant Road in Batavia for Superfast Trucking includes 3,900SF of warehouse and 2,300SF of office space on a 1.9 acre site. “This is a fast-growing company needed more trailer parking and space.” says Principle C.O.O., MarkAugustyn. The building has 15 trailer parking stalls and three drive-in doors. We used split faced block for the exterior façade and single-span steel joists for the ceiling to allow for more unencumbered space in the warehouse. The team installed LED lighting supported by 200A service, a smoke control system in the maintenance area, and a split system of grade mounted units for the office space. The roof is 45 mil white TPO and the team also constructed a detention pond on site. Partners In Design Architects served as the project architect, and Spaceco provided civil engineering services.

Last month, the Spaceco interns visited the ongoing Peoria Packing project on the West side of Chicago. This was the last of Spaceco's Summer Intern Interdisciplinary Program and was led by the project's General Contractor, Dino Alexakos, as well as Project Manager Sean McGovern, P.E. and Principal Bill Loftus. Peoria Packing is approximately a 100,000 S.F. hybrid meat packing and retail butcher shop, providing its customers with a retail experience at wholesale prices. Spaceco is proud to be a part of this promising development for the neighborhood and excited to see the ownership's vision come to life! What a night! TBG's annual "Night at the Ballpark" was a blast as we watched the Chicago Dogs win against the Milwaukee Milkmen with a thrilling 8-7 victory! Thanks to everyone who came out. Here’s to team spirit and great memories! 

This summer, Spaceco teamed up with Christopher B. Burke Engineering - Chicagoland and Mackie Consultants, LLC to form an intramural beach volleyball team. Playing at North Avenue Beach in Chicago every Thursday for 7 weeks, the team won several games and showed remarkable improvement throughout the season. Great job, team!

Thank you to Erin Delawalla, CFM and our friends at Resource Environmental Solutions LLC who donated their time to educate the Spaceco intern class of ‘24 on the benefits of Storm Water Credit Trading. This underused concept has been part of an MWRD Pilot Program for years. Our developer clients and municipalities gain a competitive advantage by adding this option to their “tool box” of options and incentives.
