At Spire, we’re proud of the vital role energy plays in growing the economy throughout the communities we serve. We were joined by economic development, business, and government leaders from across Missouri for the Hawthorn Foundation road show. We’re sharing a special thank you to the Hawthorn Foundation, Missouri Partnership, and the Missouri Department of Economic Development for their role in growing Missouri. Readers are leaders 🧡 And organizations like Turn the Page KC and Lead to Read KC help ensure plenty of books are available for young readers. Spire volunteers from the Lee's Summit and Kansas City, MO areas used their #DayForGood to sort and package books for these incredible literacy organizations. Together with the communities we serve, we can help young minds discover the magic of reading. #SpireServes

Across the natural gas industry, safety is a critical component of how the job gets done each day. That's true for Spire, too, and it's why safety is one of our core values. Spire's Chief Operating Officer Scott Doyle kicked off the Southern Gas Association's annual Safety Conference in St. Louis this week with a presentation on the science and art of a safety-focused culture. By focusing on this culture of safety, we can help make sure workers of today and tomorrow go home safely each night.

To celebrate 135 years on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), Spire President and CEO Steve Lindsey, alongside other Spire leaders, rang the Opening Bell® on Tuesday, June 18. As one of the original 12 listed companies on the Dow Jones Industrial Average, known as the "Dow Dozen," Spire has grown from a small gas company serving the St. Louis area to one serving more than 1.7 million homes and businesses across Alabama, Mississippi and Missouri. (Fast fact: Spire and General Electric are the only two of the "Dow Dozen" still listed on the NYSE!) More than a century later, the bell ringing symbolizes Spire’s growth and continued commitment to serving customers.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City serves as a beacon of hope for families with children undergoing medical treatment. That's why these Spire volunteers love using their #DayForGood at Ronald McDonald House. The team weeded and mulched the vegetable garden where healthy foods will be grown for families staying at the home. #SpireServes🧡
