When I built our executive function coaching program, I knew that we needed body doubling to be part of the growth process for the college students that we work with, particularly those with ADHD. Over the past decade, I've seen students use this technique to not only grow their initiation and attention skills, but also become more productive, reduce their stress, and get better grades. It's always good to read articles like this that can bring more attention to this strategy and hopefully help students and professionals out there.

"While it’s important to set goals, the roadmap for how to attain them can be murky. Instead of embarking without a plan toward broad ambitions, there’s value in incremental objectives in service of a larger aim. Take a page from the educational system and divide the future into “semesters” — traditionally 15 to 17 weeks long at American colleges — in which to implement minigoals to help get you where you want to go." https://lnkd.in/ga7MGj3d

Navigating the academic journey of college can be both exciting and daunting for students, and as parents, you want to ensure they have the support they need to succeed. When it comes to academic assistance, two terms you may encounter are tutoring and executive function coaching. Understanding the difference between these two can help you make informed decisions about the best support for your college student. https://lnkd.in/gT9qre9r
