  • Join us in congratulating Annette Brannen, BSN, RN, CPN, in being awarded Mission Champion for August 2024! Having began her career at St. Joseph Hospital in 1985, she currently holds many roles on our Maternal Child Health Unit - including charge nurse, preceptor, neonatal resuscitation program instructor, pediatric life support instructor, and basic life support instructor. When asked about her favorite part about working at St. Joseph Hospital, Annette highlights her love for teaching and supporting new nurses, enjoying the opportunity to watch them grow professionally. She also values the strong sense of family and support among her colleagues. Tara Reany, RN, says, "Annette cares not just for the patient, but for the whole family. Her skills are superior! As a preceptor, she has a way of explaining things to our newer staff so that complicated tasks and nursing skills can be easily understood, remembered, and performed." • What a fantastic turnout we had earlier this week at our Healing Through the Arts Summer Reception! Community members gathered to explore the latest collection of artwork, meet the talented artists, and enjoy some delicious treats. ☀️ Through our Arts in the Atrium program at St. Joseph Hospital, we collaborate closely with the Nashua Area Artists' Association to display artwork throughout our hallways. This rotating collection changes four times a year, and are available for purchase! These pieces of artwork bring an extra dimension to our hallways, fostering a sense of home for our patients and visitors. 💗

  • Earlier this week, we celebrated Natalie Blattenberger, BSN, RN, in being awarded Mission Champion for July 2024! ⭐ Natalie has been an employee of St. Joseph Hospital since 2006, making history as the first-ever LNA to work in our Emergency Department! Later, she returned to school to earn her RN. Natalie's favorite aspect of her job is patient care. Whether she's managing an intense case, helping save a life, or assisting a patient with getting a port, she finds fulfillment in supporting patients throughout their healthcare journey. Currently, Natalie works as the Nurse Supervisor of the Cardiac Cath Lab, where she is affectionately known as the "Mother of the Cath Lab." Her calming presence brings comfort to not only our patients but also to her colleagues. Ted White, Clinical Nurse Manager of the Cath Lab, says, "One of Natalie's outstanding qualities is her ability to multitask and focus without losing sight of the bigger picture. Her attention to detail and meticulous approach to patient care contribute significantly to the success of our department." Natalie's leadership style is nurturing and supportive. Every day, she strives to create a positive work environment, fostering a sense of unity among the team. Her dedication and compassionate care show that she truly lives out the Mission of St. Joseph Hospital every single day!
