About us

STOKED is a community of fearless leaders. Through mentorship, opportunity, and action sports culture, we empower urban youth to reach their fullest potential. Launched in 2015 by Steve Larosiliere and TV personality, Sal Masekela, STOKED holds passion and perseverance at its core. We believe that the strength and courage needed to learn action sports serves as a catalyst for larger life skills. STOKED has impacted over 4,000 youth since its inception, with flagship offices in New York City, Los Angeles, and now Chicago (launched in January, 2017). Recognized as a 2017 NY Community Trust Nonprofit Excellence Award recipient, the STOKED community celebrates a culture of individuals that live big lives, take risks and seize opportunities. Helping nonprofits discover donations in their email list and other comms ✍️

I always say that teaching children resiliency is one of the hardest things to do because by definition - it means they will have to fall, fail, or lose. Stoked Mentoring Inc. (STOKED) is one of my favorite nonprofit organizations. They have a goal of building resiliency in 5,000 youth through board sports in the next five years. ...Because there is nothing that teaches kids how to get back up again and try again like falling off a skateboard, surfboard, or a snowboard 🏂 🛹🏄🏾♀️. STOKED is looking for their next Director of Development to work alongside the incredible Patricia Charlemagne, EdD, JD to raise a boat ton of money to bring action sports to kids across New York, LA and Chicago. Do you know someone who would be a good fit? I'd love for your help spreading the news far and wide 🤙
