  • Open Call for Artists: "Changing Our Story: The Pursuit of Inclusive Education" The Changing Our Story Den Haag Team is excited to announce a paid open call to artists for an upcoming exhibition that seeks to redefine the narrative of inclusive education. Titled "Changing Our Story: The Pursuit of Inclusive Education," We are asking artists to create something that lets the audience reimagine the future of education through an inclusive lens. By making the ideas a tangible reality.   Submission Guidelines:   We welcome submissions in various artistic mediums, including but not limited to; Interactive art, paintings, sculptures, photography, digital art, video, and performances.   -       Short motivation letter -       2-3 existing works of any medium   Submit to [email protected] before November 15, 2023   Eligibility:   This call is paid and open to artists from all backgrounds, regardless of age, nationality, or experience level. We particularly encourage submissions from artists who have a passion for addressing social issues regarding education through their art. For the output we provide compensation.   The central aim of this art exhibition is to bring across the diverse message that ‘everyone should be able to participate in education without compromising who they are, while working together to foster a new idea of what inclusive education looks like.’ For example, it can take shape in; easy accessibility to braille for visually impaired people, language tools, or integration help.   This project is a collaborative effort amongst four institutions across different regions, united by a shared commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments, https://lnkd.in/emncsgmn. From the Netherlands to the Czech Republic and Slovakia we acknowledge the existence of inherent inequalities within the educational system, which adversely affect student success outcomes. These inequalities are rooted in various factors, such as socio-economic and cultural status or diverse physical and mental ability. We aim to explore this within an art exhibition, hosted first in The Hague in March 2024 and then move to our partner institutions in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.   We believe that art has the power to challenge perspectives, inspire change, and create a world where everyone can participate authentically. If you are interested in taking part, please reach out to us, and see the submission guidelines. We would like to invite you to an online information and brainstorming session in the upcoming weeks to discuss the project at length.
