Our Forty Stories campaign, in celebration of the company's 40th anniversary, gave our Suffolk employees the chance to share their unique stories in their own words. We're thrilled to share that Forty Stories was presented with an Award of Excellence in the Promotional Campaign, Mixed Media category at the annual SMPS—Society for Marketing Professional Services awards. Suffolk Northeast is thrilled to announce the topping out of our Brockton Public Safety Building. Local officials from the City of Brockton, including Mayor Robert Sullivan, Fire Chief Brian Nardelli, Police Chief Brenda Perez and City Councilor Jack Lally were in attendance as crews erected the final steel beam. Our Suffolk project team provided a tour of the site, allowing attendees to view progress in the space and visualize the final product. Upon completion, this building will feature a new headquarters for the Fire, Police, Information Technology, and Emergency Response Departments. Suffolk South Central Director of Emerging Technologies Joshua Weyand recently spoke at the Advancing Construction Technology 2024 conference in Chicago. This national event brought together industry leaders and pioneering contractors who have transformed processes through cutting-edge technologies. Josh presented to the audience on "Technology Scaling and Adoption", sharing best practices and examples of technologies that have been deployed across Suffolk's national portfolio to drive value on our projects. Suffolk West and our National Gaming Center of Excellence are excited to announce the opening of the Chicken Ranch Casino Resort in Jamestown, California, which recently received TCO for the casino gaming floor and hotel along with a variety of bars and restaurants within the space. After the project's recent soft grand opening, the team is now hard at work on the pool, spa, convention center, south parking garage, landscaping and exterior facade on the way toward substantial completion this fall. Liberty, Suffolk's self-perform division, played a pivotal role with general requirements, special projects and equipment on this project. Thank you to our partners for making this project a success! Suffolk West was awarded not one, but two prestigious Best Project Awards from Engineering News-Record California. The Suffolk-built AC + Moxy Hotels and 1629 Market Street were both recognized as “Best Residential/Hospitality” projects. Judges selected these two projects from hundreds of applicants based on challenges overcome, contributions to the industry and community, safety, and construction and design quality. Inclusion on this regional list qualifies these projects for the ENR National Best Projects awards, which will be announced later this year. Suffolk Southeast, in collaboration with our trade partner Malcolm Drilling, is undertaking a remarkable engineering challenge in Miami Beach — constructing a two-story underground basement less than 500 feet from the ocean as part of the transformation of a historic hotel into a luxury oceanfront property. This feat involves a unique deep soil mixing process to create a waterproof "bathtub" retaining wall, ensuring the stability and safety of the future garage's foundation. Hands up if you love construction! Twenty-one Girl Scout Juniors recently visited Suffolk's Boston HQ as part of their summer camp experience at Camp Cedar Hill in Waltham. These girls have been working through their Juniors Who Build curriculum, co-authored by Suffolk's Women Who Build business resource group to help Girl Scouts ages 7-9 understand the steps of the construction process and the many potential careers in construction. This group of creative young women experienced a Lunch & Learn with Suffolk volunteers, participated in a hands-on STEM building activity and even got to watch the topping out of Suffolk's Roxbury Prep project next to our office! #suffolkcares #womenwhobuild Girl Scouts of Eastern MA

At Suffolk, some of our favorite projects are the ones we build for first responders in our local communities. Check out one of our recent Suffolk Sites videos to hear Suffolk Northeast Project Executive Steven Evans discuss our Quincy Public Safety Headquarters project in Quincy, MA. The finished project will consist of a 130,000-square-foot facility consolidating several municipal services into a single Public Safety campus. Above all, this project has centered around collaboration. Suffolk partnered with City of Quincy's EMS teams, our trade partners and KBA at every step of the way to streamline communication, mitigate challenges and create a positive safety culture on site.
