The mission of Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet is to man, train, and equip the Surface Force to provide fleet commanders with credible naval power to control the sea and project power ashore. CNSP delivers and sustains the full spectrum of balanced, affordable, and resilient naval power through manpower, training, and equipment. As Commander, Naval Surface Forces (CNSF), CNSF leads Surface Warfare policy with a fleet-focused perspective and develops the professional expertise of surface warfare officers. - Permitted Content.     🌊DID YOU KNOW? Reservists can serve at sea!⚓🇺🇸 Cryptologic Technician (technical) Chief Nicholas Hummel serves aboard USS Essex (LHD 2) and has a 18-year Navy career! Get to know more about your Reserve superstar from Normal, Illinois, below. Hummel joined the U.S. Navy's selective reserve to finish out a 20+ year career and retire. What keeps him going everyday is being able to train and mentor CTT operators and technicians. Hummel appreciates the opportunity to serve aboard Essex and is looking forward to getting the CTTs ready for success going into the training cycle. The Surface Force is always looking for seagoing rates to anchor our Reserve Force. Apprentices are especially desired. For E5 and above, it is important to employ Sailors with seagoing experience.  For Reserve Sailors who are eager to go to sea, we are committed to finding you a ship based on ship needs and N13’s (Military Personnel Plans and Policy) priority. We will place Reservists on any surface ship that requires their support.

Black (DDG 119) participates in a photo exercise alongside the U.S. Coast Guard and the Royal Canadian Navy during Operation NANOOK (OP NANOOK), Aug. 18, 2024. OP NANOOK is the Canadian Armed Forces' annual series of Arctic exercises designed to enhance defense capabilities, ensure the security of northern regions, and improve interoperability with Allied forces. Black participated in the operation alongside the U.S. Coast Guard and Canadian and Danish Allies to bolster Arctic readiness and fulfill each nation's defense commitments.

    🇺🇸USS Wasp (LHD 1) Operates with the Turkish Navy🇹🇷 The amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1), front, and the transport dock landing ship USS Oak Hill (LSD 51), center, of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group (WSP ARG)-24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Special Operations Capable (SOC), operate together with the Turkish Navy amphibious assault ship TCG Anadolu (L400) and the Turkish frigate TCG Gokova (F496) in the Mediterranean Sea, Aug. 14, 2024. The WSP ARG-24th MEU (SOC) is on a scheduled deployment to the NAVEUR-NAVAF area of operations, supporting U.S., Allied and partner interests in the region, including in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea, to continue promoting regional stability and deterring aggression.
