How is Sweater different from Reg-CF crowdfunding? Sweater is unlocking access for retail investors to invest in high potential startups, but we’re not a crowdfunding platform. So what makes us different? Sweater breaks down the barriers to participate in funds that deploy capital into startups or other private deals. Unlike crowdfunding, where you invest in individual startups, Sweater allows you to invest in a fund that diversifies investments across multiple companies, similar to an index fund but for private markets. Only a portion of high-growth startups decide to raise crowdfunding, but many more raise venture capital.
