Meet Nenad, an experienced Account Executive, a brand-new father, and, in our humble opinion, the best singer in the logistics industry. He is quite a unique character, a perfect blend of a friendly jokester and a serious businessman who always answers when work calls. But, before everything else, he is an amazing husband, father, and a truly precious colleague. The Swick team is fortunate to have Nenad on board and privileged to benefit from his expertise.

A knee injury changed everything, leading him straight to Swick’s office. Starting as a tracking specialist, Jay quickly rose through the ranks with his intelligence, hard work, and dedication. Now he's our Operations Supervisor and Team Lead, highly respected among his coworkers. Nothing highlights his impact more than the fact that he was voted Office Motivator and Best Coworker by his teammates during our latest teambuilding. Jay's commitment to a healthy lifestyle is inspiring. He spends most of his free time in the gym or on a basketball court, showing the same passion and adaptability in his personal life as he does at work. He is also quite passionate about candy, but hey, balance is key, right? Jay, your journey and achievements over the past three years have been nothing short of extraordinary. Nathan’s laid-back demeanor and positive outlook on life are infectious, and the fact that he drives a Volvo speaks volumes – the man is reliable. Whether it's lending a helping hand or offering a word of encouragement, he’s there for his teammates, and his ability to balance intensity with humor makes him a colleague everyone appreciates. Every month, we bring you a short and sweet market analysis, done by our market analyst, Luka, accompanied by charts from our partners at FreightWaves SONAR. Enjoy! We are starting off with the Rejection Index, which is finally surging upwards globally. As of June 28, 2024, it is at 6.14%. At these current levels, let's say it's an even ball game. If we look at some specific areas, there are some that have passed the 8% mark. For example, the eastern part of TN is in the mid-8% range. Memphis, at one point, was well over 10%, but now is skimming around the 9.2% mark. Atlanta follows these patterns as well. Los Angeles is just under the 8% mark but will likely reach it sooner rather than later. Houston is oscillating over and under that mark. Very interesting and positive developments. So capacity is tightening, but what's happening with the volume? For the better part of the year, volume was higher than in 2020, and now I would say it's about the same. Right now, we are experiencing the 4th of July push, so there are numbers here and there that are spiking. After that ends and everything settles down, the path will be clear. 4o

Happy Birthday to Us! Once a year, we come together to celebrate two big occasions: the 4th of July and Swick's birthday. This anniversary was especially joyful since most of the team could attend. As always, our table tennis tournament was a hit, some daring dance moves made their debut, and exciting prizes were awarded (stay tuned for more details on that). The past year has been filled with milestones, growth, and countless moments of teamwork and innovation.
