    Today is Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander (NHPI) Women’s Equal Pay Day. This date symbolizes how far into the year the average median Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander woman must work in order to have earned what the average median white, non-Hispanic man earned the entire previous year. NHPI Women’s Equal Pay Day is a reminder of the work remaining to improve equity in the workplace. While the causes of this pay gap are complex, we know it’s possible to make real change. At Syndio we work with hundreds of companies who are using our solutions to analyze compensation and pay practices for over 8.5 million employees globally.     Cybersecurity company Expel's story proves that pay transparency — when it’s backed by reliable data — can be a game-changer for employee trust and employer brand. The results speak for themselves, contributing to Expel being named to five Best Workplaces lists by Great Place To Work US in 2023. How did they do it? Expel used the Syndio platform to measure pay equity and prove that they paid all employees equally for equal work.     Today is Black Women's Equal Pay Day, a day to acknowledge the persistent pay gap and recommit to building more equitable workplaces. On average, Black women working full-time earn just 69 cents for every dollar earned by non-Hispanic white men.
