Thanks to Kevin and the team at The New Warehouse for the shout out! We are super excited to be working with Zebra Technologies to put Takt into the hands of operators on the floor. Our new Android app for Zebra Mobile Computers makes it easy to see your real-time performance and track indirect, kitting, and VAS work that isn't currently visible in your WMS or Time Clock for completed warehouse visibility. A customer recently adopted the Takt app in one of their facilities and immediately gained insight into 700+ hours of indirect work a day! By unifying their WMS, Time Clock, Automation and now Kiosk data in Takt, they have the insights they need to drive improvement and increase warehouse efficiency. Thanks to Colin Goodwin and the team at Zebra for being great partners! #warehouse #lms #distribution #fulfillment #wms #android #zebra #mobilecomputers #tablets #supplychain
"You get a laptop, iPhone and iPad" "Oh cool, can I look at analytics and access the WMS from the iPad while I'm on the floor?" "No, but you can check your emails on it" 🙄 🙄 🙄 This was a conversation I had at the start of one of my jobs. Sure enough, that iPad just collected dust. Why would I use it to check emails when I had a laptop and an iPhone where I could do that already? No value add. Definitely a disappointment for a manager who liked to be on the floor and was hopeful they could check in on things from the floor without carrying a laptop around. When I see things like what Takt is showing here on this Zebra Technologies mobile device, I'm happy to see that access to insights and analytics that you can make improvements or quick changes on is easy to access on the floor. In my opinion, if you are not able to do what you need to do on the warehouse floor from a mobile device and have to carry a laptop around then you are losing a lot of productivity and probably losing a lot of opportunity to make better decisions on the move. Enable your workforce at all levels to have access to actionable insights in a form factor that they are used to using every day in their personal lives. Kudos to the Takt team for creating access for the frontline worker to see this type of information. What do you think?
