    Reimagining the role of workplace culture in social change. CEO & Founder @ Call for Culture. Curator: Culture Impact Lab.

    It’s been almost a month since 85+ of us were together for the inaugural Culture Impact Lab: a Call for Culture experience and we’re still buzzing from the action learning, enrichment, and impact of what many participants are describing as a one of kind and first of its kind experience. Nothing could have prepared us for the space and relationships we kicked off this year. We’re already seeing the makings of a thriving community, and actions derived from the experience are beginning to take on a life of their own. The Culture Impact Lab is built around action - actively defining change together, so that we can bring this change back to the spheres of influence we all lead. The Lab is a testing ground for visualizing and defining what a future social enterprise CAN be. We also tapped back into ourselves, into our humanity - something that needs restoring and healing in our workplaces, communities, and society. There was an overwhelming feeling that - it starts with us. There’s something about connecting with other values-aligned people and leaders that brings us back to our purpose, and allows us to better imagine where and how we bring energy into our work. Together, we all realized that being a change-maker seeps into all facets of our life. This was beautifully captured through creative experiences like our live poet, Zoe from Ars Poetica who offered personalized poems (which she calls “ receipts of human connection”) to each participant based on a single word, moment, or intention. Friends, 2024 is just the beginning. We’re working on building our Culture Impact Lab online community and continuing the work and connection way beyond the 2 day event. The Sketch Effect captured this journey beautifully with this summary board that highlights the journey participants embark on when they enter the Lab. The Culture Impact Lab is our collective action learning experience and community created and designed for conscious change leaders and makers to incubate and innovate their most pressing challenges and strategies for creating healthy, inclusive, and sustainable cultures. Participants come to the Lab with a challenge statement and have a safe and energizing space to learn, try, and apply.
