  • We had a phone call with someone who was literally in tears because she had tried calling the IRS time after time, only to be disconnected, or get a phone representative that wasn’t helpful. We steered her in the right direction. Fortunately, her situation didn’t require a phone call. It was a very simple situation that would take her around 5 minutes to resolve herself. Later in the day, she called us back to profusely thank us for giving her some straight forward advice without a sales pitch. Unfortunately, she mentioned that she had been quoted some very high fees from some other tax practitioners that she had called first, so she was grateful that she could prioritize paying the IRS. Not everyone is that lucky… sometimes, it’s necessary to call the IRS, and anyone who’s had the ‘pleasure’ of calling the IRS knows that it can be time consuming, especially depending on the time of day you call them. Waiting on hold with the IRS is something tax professionals are all too familiar with. #taxexperts #taxrelief #taxresolution

  • Our company is often told by other professionals: “you’re not charging enough. Make sure you get paid what you’re worth.” While it’s important to make sure that a business is viable and sustainable, it’s also important to remember that clients are already being hit with higher costs everywhere else, and whenever possible, they should be able to keep more of their hard-earned money – especially when our clients already owe tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, or even millions of dollars in tax debt. We believe in sustainability and charging clients the lowest fees possible to make ourselves sustainable. Tax debt help shouldn’t add to someone’s financial woes. #affordable #taxexperts #taxdebthelp #taxresolution

  • One of the first steps you should take if you’re getting letters from the IRS trying to collect back taxes is to find out when the Collection Statute Expiration Date (CSEDs) are for each period of tax liability you owe. The IRS can’t collect on back taxes indefinitely. We recently had a consultation with someone who owed about $60,000 from 2011 alone, and he had ended up paying most of the liability off himself before he reached out to us, only to find out that his liability would have expired 2 months after he paid it off. Two. More. Months. That’s it. The IRS would have lost its ability to collect that $60,000. A simple transcript analysis may have saved that man a lot of money (along with $60,000). A lot of tax companies offer to do a transcript analysis, usually for a small fee. A transcript analysis is a great option for people who aren’t sure where they stand with the IRS. It should reveal, at the very least, when the CSEDs are, a breakdown of the liabilities, a penalty and interest breakdown, a list of missing tax returns that need to be filed to get back into tax compliance, and the ‘collection status’ of your IRS account. If you’re not sure where you stand with the IRS, we offer a detailed IRS transcript report for individual taxpayers (taxpayer & spouse) for a $295.00 flat fee. Better yet, we’ll go over the report with you AND offer our guidance to teach you the basics of how to resolve your tax debts yourself. No gimmicks or sales pitches…just answers. #taxexperts #taxresolution #taxdebthelp #taxrelief #irsproblemsolvers

  • It’s very important for taxpayers to be transparent with their financial information when financials are being disclosed to the IRS. When the IRS is trying to collect back taxes owed, a lot of people think to themselves: “oh, the IRS doesn’t need to know about this ‘retirement account’.” Wrong – and not disclosing a true, accurate picture of your financial condition can make your situation a lot worse. When you sign a financial statement for the IRS, you’re stating under penalties of perjury that the financial information that you’re providing them with is “true, correct and complete”. A good tax professional can review your financials internally first to help you come up with a game plan for how to disclose your financials, or if it’s even wise to disclose your financials (if your situation doesn’t require it). So, it’s very important that you disclose your complete financial condition to your tax professional so that they can better protect you and your assets from the IRS. #taxexperts; #taxrelief; #taxprofessional; #taxresolution

  • A lot of people are getting their tax “advice” from social media. We’re seeing this more and more each year. Some people that give terrible advice can sound like they speak from a position of authority. Before using any advice from that you get from social media, speak with a competent, qualified tax professional to verify it. Even AI can steer people in the wrong direction. The IRS is ramping up its audits. Make sure that your tax returns are accurate and that everything that is claimed is allowed and can be substantiated should you be audited. #taxresolution #taxexpert #taxrelief

  • Make sure that you trust your tax preparer – and even then, it doesn’t hurt to get a second opinion to make sure they’re following all the rules. There have been more and more instances of tax preparers preparing fraudulent returns for their clients to “help” them get larger tax refunds. A fraudulent tax return can come in different forms: claiming fake children, or fake business expenses (even claiming a fake business), fake tax credits, or even claiming to be married if someone is single. Once your tax preparer prepares your returns, make sure you review it carefully before signing it.

  • If you’re one of many people who are receiving scary looking letters from the IRS, but you want to know what the notice means without calling someone and getting a sales pitch, there is a website you can use to type in the notice number so that you know what it means and how to address it: https://lnkd.in/e3iwHXNJ If you’re still not sure what steps you should take, reach out to a trustworthy tax professional, and they can guide you through the process. If you reach out to us, you’ll get the advice without the sales pitch – because we’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: a lot of people can resolve their own tax debts without a tax professional. Of course, having a good, qualified tax professional can often be VERY helpful. #taxresolution #irsproblemsolver #taxhelp #taxrelief

  • Tax Day is April 15th. Have you prepared your taxes yet? Failure to File penalties can be avoided if you file your tax return on time or file an ‘extension of time to file’. If you file an extension of time to file, keep in mind that an extension of time to file is NOT an extension of time to pay, so make sure that you pay all of your taxes by April 15th to avoid Failure to Pay penalties. #taxday #taxrelief #taxresolution

  • Here’s a friendly reminder for people that have self-employment income or income not subject to tax withholdings: the first Estimated Tax Payment for 2024 is due on April 15th.  Staying current on Estimated Tax Payments helps ensure that you won’t owe taxes when you file your 2024 1040 next year. • Did you know that if you owe back taxes and are expecting a tax refund, your refund will get applied to the back taxes owed? Furthermore, it will be applied in the IRS’s best interest: they’ll apply it to the oldest period of tax liability. Some people are in a situation where it’s optimal to have their tax refunds applied to their back taxes – but if money is tight and you’d rather keep more money in your paychecks, you can use this IRS withholding estimator to help you adjust your W-4 with your employer: https://lnkd.in/g9nq8HX Just be absolutely sure that you won’t owe any additional taxes and that you’re still sufficiently withholding, or talk to a tax professional. #taxrefund #taxrelief #taxresolution
