Providing aid to children of wounded warriors and fallen heroes. We help American Veterans’ families in crisis.

About us

TD Foundation is a 100% volunteer organization that provides aid to children of wounded warriors and fallen heroes. We help American Veterans’ families in crisis. Much of our work is through a network of smaller, grass-roots charities with missions aligned with ours. We basically fill the gaps left by government programs, VA, and other charities. It is everything from a couple hundred dollars for school supplies, to a tablet for a boy with a reading disability, a refrigerator, to $15K to cover mortgage payments and keep a family in their home. It varies from truck repairs and overdue bills in collection to a new bed that lifts for a soldier with TBI. http://tdfoundation.org/successes/ Our partners include: Code of Support http://www.codeofsupport.org/ Operation Second Chance http://www.operationsecondchance.org/ Quality of Life Foundation http://qolfoundation.org/ USSOCOM Care Coalition http://www.socom.mil/Care%20Coalition/Default.aspx Funds: This is a small grassroots organization. All participants in this fund are volunteers, 100% of donated funds will go to those children and families in need. Our cases can be anywhere from $200-$300 into the tens of thousands. Our average is less than $2,000. So a little money goes a long way. 501(c)(3). Our Tax ID is #41-2255430

Day 37 of the #50Families50Days Campaign   Learn more about the campaign at: https://lnkd.in/eadMaXE9   $2,981 for Combat Wounded Green Beret Behind on Bills   A Combat-Wounded Green Beret, in the process of being medically retired, found himself in a financial bind after inpatient treatment exacerbated his condition. The stress of his recovery caused him to fall behind on family finances. Although he sought help from the Army Emergency Relief Fund, the requirement for full repayment within two months, due to his medical board status, would have created further hardship as he transitioned out of the military.   To make matters worse, both family’s vehicles had become inoperative, making daily life even more challenging. Thanks to our support, TD Foundation was able to cover the repair costs for both vehicles, helping this Veteran and his family regain stability during this difficult transition.   Requested Amount that TD Foundation provided immediate and direct assistance for: $2,981   To hear more amazing stories of impact from the TD Foundation, please follow along on our social media accounts. Day 36 of the #50Families50Days Campaign   Learn more about the campaign at: https://lnkd.in/eadMaXE9   $6,400 for Single Mom who Needed Cash Immediately — Next Day Money Wire   At 8pm TD Foundation learned about a critical case, and by the next morning, $6,400 was wired to help a Veteran in need. CPT Dean, a retired Medical Services Officer who served with SOF at Ft. Bragg, was short on funds to close the sale of her home. Injured in an IED blast in 2010, she sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and is now 100% VA disability rated. She had planned on a long Army career, but her injuries forced her to step down.   CPT Dean is a single mother of three daughters—two at home, ages 13 and 16, and one in college. After facing challenges securing a job, she finally accepted a position in Hawaii. However, just before closing on the sale of her home, she discovered an unexpected $6,400 shortfall in taxes and escrow fees. Thanks to TD Foundation's support, she was able to close on the sale and fly out to start her new chapter in Hawaii.   Requested Amount that TD Foundation provided immediate and direct assistance for: $6,400   To hear more amazing stories of impact from the TD Foundation, please follow along on our social media accounts. Day 35 of the #50Families50Days Campaign   Learn more about the campaign at: https://lnkd.in/eadMaXE9   $1,308.81 to Keep a Veteran With 3 Children In Their Home On 4th of July   A combat Veteran in Florida, who was facing the imminent threat of home foreclosure due to a $1,308.81 delinquency, received crucial support just in time. The Veteran, who has a 90% disability rating from the VA, faced a significant financial setback when his wife was removed from the VA Caregiver program, resulting in the loss of over $2,000 in monthly income. This unexpected loss caused the family to fall behind on their mortgage payments.   Thankfully, Code of Support stepped in to assist the Veteran and his wife, not only by helping them search for employment but also by connecting them with a financial coach. Partnering with Code of Support, TD Foundation paid the past-due amounts, allowing the family to stay in their home and providing them with a much-needed lifeline during this difficult time.   Requested Amount that TD Foundation provided immediate and direct assistance for: $1,308.81   To hear more amazing stories of impact from the TD Foundation, please follow along on our social media accounts. The service member, who sustained a neck injury requiring fusion, as well as PTSD and anxiety, was medically retired on February 18, 2018. During this transition, he experienced a gap in pay, receiving no income for the month of March 2018. With two young children, aged 8 and 10, to care for, he reached out for assistance to bridge the financial gap until his VA benefits began on April 5th, 2018. We were able to step in and provide the necessary support to help his family during this challenging period.
