Preventing eviction on 6/18 for three little kids. TDF same day payment success story with America’s Warrior Partnership. The veteran lives in Phoenix, and she served 2008-2014. She was combat-deployed and has a rating. She works full-time but fell behind due to an automobile repair and being hospitalized for a brief period. She has 3 children: 12 and 10 girls and 8 yo boy. She needed $4,094.32 in rental assistance. She went to eviction court on 6/12/24 and was told that the constable is due to evict her on 6/18/24 unless she comes up with the amount. She has contacted the following organizations for help and was denied: AMVETS, AER, Operation Homefront, Salute America’s Heroes, Operation Family Fund, Wildfire AZ, Mana House Catholic Charities, and US Vets SSVF in Phoenix (ineligible until later this year). TDF Success Story today. Request 4:50p. Paid 5:10p. $2238 The veteran is a single mom with 4 kids. She served in the USAF, has two combat tours, and is waiting on her updated VA rating decision. Over a year ago she contracted COVID-19 and was severely ill which has led to long-term issues with her lungs (including needing surgery to try to repair the damage). She has been on long-term disability from her job and has barely been making ends meet. Two months ago, she lost her EBT assistance due to a clerical error - the state is backlogged, and now she is using her disability money to pay for food and rent. Her ex-husband was supposed to be paying the electric bill instead of child support, but she recently received a disconnect notice and she discovered he hadn't made any payments on the account for quite some time. She tried to get things adjusted but hasn't had much luck. The veteran is homebound due to her severe health issues and is on oxygen - her life depends on having oxygen, which needs electricity. The electric company will not extend the due date, despite having a medical necessity letter. I was on the phone with the company and they have agreed to push the disconnection until tomorrow IF a minimum payment is made on the account. This will buy her (and me) a little more time to find additional assistance. TOTAL NEED: $2238.98 MINIMUM BY TOMORROW: $700

He has applied for Food stamps and should qualify for them. We don’t know when he will be approved. He needs groceries and a utility bill paid (227.56). Need $700.00” We sent him $1,000 with strict instructions to spend the money on kids’ gifts.
