This week, we participated in the "Practice and Purpose of Policy: A Training for Community Foundation Leaders" organized by CFLeads and Council on Foundations. Naomi Amaha, our director of policy & government affairs, spoke at the training, sharing our approach to integrating resident voice in our policy and advocacy work. We’re grateful to be a part of this important conversation with Marisa Magallanez, and Len Bartel, MPA. Thanks CFLeads and Council on Foundation for organizing this event.

Taking care of the future since 1925.
About us
The mission of The Denver Foundation is to inspire people and mobilize resources to strengthen our community. The Denver Foundation is the product of 90 years of generous donors, hard working volunteers, and visionary grantees. In November 1925, community leaders came together to create an endowment to serve the future needs of Metro Denver. They recognized that community needs are always changing, and they wanted to give succeeding generations some resources to help meet future needs. Today it manages assets of more than $800 million; received $ 67 million in gifts last year (2015 not audited); and holds more than 1000 funds to date.

In the State of the City, Mayor Mike Johnston shared some of the milestones toward the city’s journey to address street homelessness and connect people to housing. He also outlined the continued work that lies ahead. Through the All In Mile High Fund, you can support this initiative and the nonprofits providing wraparound services, like mental health care, substance misuse treatment, and workforce training.
