While deals are abundant in medtech and medical devices, angel investors are being selective, aiming to balance life science deals with other technology opportunities. It was a great opportunity to engage with promising early-stage startups against a stunning backdrop at the Coco Club in Santa Monica. With diverse industry representation that included medtech, fintech, and mediatech, it was good to see avoidance of AI hype in favor of more substantive functionality using AI tools.
