This is an exciting opportunity, and I'm honored to be chosen. As an eco-construction engineer, I am deeply passionate about green building and using innovative technology to realize more Eco-friendly buildings. Beyond my day-to-day work, I'm also incredibly passionate about increasing female participation in STEM fields. Because equity and diversity in STEM, are critical to driving progress and solving the complex challenges facing our world. Through this program, I'll have the chance to learn from experienced leaders in my industry, build valuable connections, and develop the skills I need to advance my career while inspiring the next generation of women in STEM. I'm excited to dive in, challenge myself, and learn new ways to make impact. This is just the beginning of an incredible journey, and I can't wait to see what the future holds. Growing up, I was captivated by technology when my older sister brought home computer chips for her homework. Her passion sparked my own interest in STEM, steering me toward my career path. She remains a guiding light, continuously supporting and encouraging me to reach my goals. Today, I am excited to embark on a journey to pay it forward and help empower other women in tech, inspired by her influence and the mentors who have guided me along the way. I am Ndze Regina Kukiwin, and I am thrilled to announce that I have been selected as an Emerging Leader for TechWomen 2024! 🌟 As the Technology Manager at CX Touchpoints and a passionate advocate for women and girls, I focus on promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in tech. Through my initiative #HerTechSpace, we are working to establish female-friendly tech hubs in the North West Region of Cameroon, providing transformative spaces for women and girls to access opportunities and thrive in the technology sector. I have co-founded the Beacon of Light Association, where I lead impactful programs like "Digital Skills for Girls" and "Positive Media Choices." These initiatives have empowered over 100 women and girls with essential digital skills and awareness, fostering a more inclusive and safer online environment. As a proud participant of #techwomen24, I am thrilled to introduce myself as an Emerging Leader dedicated to advancing sustainability and renewable energy solutions in Lebanon and the MENA region. I hold a Research Master’s in Renewable Energy and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering. My journey in STEM has been fueled by a passion for creating innovative solutions that positively impact the environment and communities. As the Executive Committee Coordinator at the Environment and Sustainable Development Unit at the American University of Beirut (ESDU-AUB (ESDU)), I have led numerous projects, integrating the water-energy-food nexus and circular economy approaches. These experiences have strengthened my skills in team management, strategic planning, and project lifecycle management, enabling me to drive meaningful change in my community. From designing energy efficiency solutions to coordinating impactful projects at ESDU-AUB, my career has been a blend of technical expertise and community-focused initiatives. One of my proudest achievements is co-founding Drive Green, an energy solution startup, and winning the regional PRIMA WEFE Nexus 2023 award. Fun fact about me: I am a Zumba instructor. Whether through technology or giving Zumba classes, my goal is to empower women and help them become better versions of themselves.
