Exciting news! Temple University - Lewis Katz School of Medicine has signed an MOU with WellSpan Health to launch a new regional #TempleMed campus in York County, PA. Temple Health is thrilled about this partnership and the positive impact it will bring to the community. Together, we’ll continue to advance healthcare and educational opportunities. #TempleMade
We are excited to share that we have signed a memorandum of understanding with WellSpan Health to establish a second regional #TempleMed campus in York County, Pennsylvania. This will complement our main Health Sciences Center campus in North Philadelphia, and the St. Luke’s University Health Network campus in Bethlehem. The partnership with WellSpan Health is expected to be finalized by the new year and the first class of approximately 40 students is expected to begin in August 2027. “We are thrilled to partner with WellSpan Health, renowned for its commitment to exceptional patient care,” said Dr. Amy Goldberg, MD, FACS, The Marjorie Joy Katz Dean, Lewis Katz School of Medicine. “This collaboration will provide our medical students with unparalleled opportunities to learn and grow.” “Together, we will advance medical education and improve health outcomes for communities across the region,” she continued. “We look forward to an incredible collaboration that will not only benefit our institutions, students, faculty, and staff, but also the patients and communities we serve." PA Donor Day 💙💚 A day for Pennsylvanians to unite in support of organ and tissue donation. Donate Life America Dr. Kenneth Chavin, Director of the Abdominal Organ Transplant Program at Temple University Hospital, and the Transplant Program team recently facilitated an extraordinary meeting between a transplant recipient and her donor. Eida received a life-saving kidney transplant and, weeks later, met Christie, the courageous woman who donated her kidney. Dr. Chavin and the entire Temple Health team played a crucial role in this journey, providing expert care and support. Temple Health partnered with the Office of State Senator Sharif Street to host a free Community Baby Shower. Held at Temple University’s Student Training Athletic Complex (STAR), the community baby shower offered expecting mothers, along with their partners, families, and birthing allies, access to screenings, resources, diapers and other items to secure the wellbeing and safety of mom and baby.
