Terra Firma National is thrilled to announce our partnership with Centro SOL, Esperanza Center with Catholic Charities of Baltimore, and Global Refuge to launch Terra Firma Baltimore—one of our initial programs in the National Network! Building on the success of the Terra Firma model at the Bronx Health Collective, this initiative marks the beginning of a comprehensive program offering integrated medical, legal, and mental health services to immigrant children in Baltimore We extend our congratulations to Centro Sol, Esperanza, and Global Refuge for their efforts in expanding co-located health and legal services for immigrant youth in Baltimore and beyond. We are enthusiastic about the future of Terra Firma Baltimore and other upcoming sites. On June 4th, 2024, one of Terra Firma National’s Co-Founders, Dr. Alan Shapiro, was awarded the 2024 Dean’s Champion of Public Health award by City of New York’s (CUNY) School of Public Health. Dr. Shapiro has dedicated his life’s work to providing medical care to vulnerable children and families, and we are so proud to have him as a leader of Terra Firma National. He is a champion of humanism, and has impacted many lives throughout his career. Congratulations Alan!

Terra Firma National is proud to announce its partnership with Harmony Healthcare Long Island and CARECEN NY- Central American Refugee Center to launch Terra Firma Hempstead, one of the first programs in our National Network! Using principles developed from the Terra Firma model at the Bronx Health Collective, this Open House marked the start of a new integrated program providing medical, legal, and mental health services to immigrant children on Long island.
