Created by TerraLoam LLC, a privately held manufacturing company based in Charlotte NC, our customizable protective apparel is made with care by American workers. Our mission is to protect people and the planet. The BioGown is comprised of a proprietary blend of starches and biodegradable polymers, and completely eliminates the need for plastics used in traditional PPE by replacing them with a sustainable solution. From the soil to hospital systems and back again, our compostable gowns come from the earth and return to the earth— leaving the planet better than it was before.

We are thrilled to announce our new partnership with Catawba Valley Health System. This collaboration is set to significantly reduce hospital waste, with an expected decrease of nearly 15,000 pounds this year alone. Additionally, we're transforming discarded gowns into nutrient-rich soil, contributing to the restoration of over 1.5 acres of farmland. We are proud to lead the way in sustainable healthcare solutions and are excited about the positive impact this initiative will have on our environment. Join us as we celebrate this milestone in our journey towards a more sustainable future! https://lnkd.in/eTp22zU5

In today's corporate landscape, the term 'sustainability' often becomes a buzzword, touted in mission statements and marketing materials. Many companies set ambitious goals for a distant future, but when we look for actionable steps being taken in the present, the enthusiasm seems to wane. At Terraloam, we believe in turning words into action. Sustainability for us is not a distant goal but a current practice, ingrained in every aspect of our operations. We're not waiting for future benchmarks to start making a difference. Our commitment to environmental stewardship is active and ongoing, with tangible results seen daily in the work we do. From utilizing innovative ideas to implementing waste-reduction strategies, we are living proof that sustainability goals don't just have to be a vision for the future; they can and should be a reality of the present. As we continue on this journey, we challenge and invite others in the industry to not only talk about sustainability but to actively participate in creating a greener today. Let's shift the narrative from future goals to present action. #sustainabilitynow #Terraloam #ecoawareness #greenbusiness #action

In the accompanying image, you'll witness a startling yet powerful visual: a week's worth of used medical gowns from one floor at Catawba Valley Health System. This display isn't just about the volume of waste; it's a stark reminder of the environmental impact of single-use medical supplies. At BioGown, we see this as a call to action. Each bag laid out represents a potential to turn waste into something beneficial. Our mission is to transform these discarded resources into nutrient-rich soil, closing the loop in an industry traditionally burdened by environmental impact. This visualization is more than a statement. It's a challenge to the healthcare industry and an invitation to join us in creating a sustainable future. Let's rethink, reduce, and repurpose. How is your organization addressing medical waste? Share with us your thoughts and initiatives. #sustainablehealthcare #environmentalimpact #BioGown #wastemanagement

The visual impact of medical gown waste is as startling as the statistics. The image we've shared captures a mere glimpse – 15 bags of discarded gowns from a single area at Catawba Valley Health System over just one weekend. Yet, if we zoom out, every day across the US, we are confronted with an astounding 600,000 bags of similar waste. The implications for our environment are profound. This is exactly the impetus behind BioGown. We're not just confronting the problem – we're actively turning it into a solution. By converting this would-be waste into nutrient-rich soil, we're paving the way for a future where healthcare's environmental footprint is not just reduced, but reversed. Let's discuss how we can implement sustainable practices in your operations. #ChangeTheCycle #BioGown #SustainableHealthcare #EnvironmentalImpact

4250 pounds...that is how much food we donated from a 40 by 40 plot of land. After a long growing season the garden needs a refresh so we spent last Saturday working through the weeds. A heartfelt thank you to each and every member of our Charlotte community garden team! 🍁 Your unwavering dedication during our Fall cleanup has once again showcased the power of community collaboration. The garden is not just a space, but a testament to what can be achieved when we come together with a shared vision for a greener future. We're endlessly grateful for your hands, hearts, and hard work. Here's to many more seasons of growth and togetherness! 🌱🤝 #CommunityStrong #GreenInitiative #BioGownGarden

As we wrap up another week, we're reminded of our commitment to sustainability. Every gown we've used is now en route to our composting facility. In a mere four months, these materials will have been transformed into nutrient-rich soil, exemplifying our dedication to closing the loop in our processes. It's more than just sustainability—it's a vision for a better future. #FromGownToGround #EcoInnovation
