She covered the critical aspects of incident investigations, from scene preservation to corrective actions and preventative measures. 🚧 Why is Incident Investigation Important? An OSHA certification can advance your career, and mastering techniques for effective incident investigations could save a team member's life or limb. Plus, no prerequisites are required for this course, so register today! 🔗 Course Registration Link: https://lnkd.in/gu3KUMxN "It's essential to learn how to handle incident investigations thoroughly and confidently, whether it's after an incident or preventing a near-miss. At TEEX, our instructors are continually honing their skills and expanding their knowledge to provide the highest quality of training for our participants. Recently Mark Clarite, one of our Training Coordinators, attended the TRICOM 9th Annual Instructor Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah. The TRI-ANGLE Combatives (TRICOM) Program serves as the foundation for our Arrest and Control Tactics courses. Clarite completed 6 days of training with specialty groups from the United States, Germany, Switzerland, and Canada and assisted teaching the TRICOM Tactical Clinch Instructor Certification to continue his Master Instructor Proficiency. He is one of only five individuals in North America to have received the Master Level Instructor title. In the following video, the training exercise demonstrates action versus reaction. The individual armed with a knife starts the encounter by trying to cut the officer. Clarite then demonstrates one option by moving off line and presenting a firearm into a deadly force encounter. #MakeADifference #TEEXTrainers #ArrestandControlTactics

We were honored to have Dr. Phebe Moore Simmons, Executive Director at Family Promise, Inc. of Bryan-College Station, share her expertise at our latest Women of TEEX speaker series. Dr. Phebe leads with her heart, and her compassionate approach has brought her professional success across many industries. During her session, she shared powerful insights on emotional intelligence in leadership, leaving attendees with this key message: 🔑 "Effective leadership is about managing people, not tasks and projects. Good managers check in with the team, but effective leaders study their staff and take a sincere interest in their lives. Use emotional intelligence to connect with your team members and understand who they are and where they are in life. If possible, always put the task or project second." - Dr. Simmons #TEEX #WomenOfTEEX #ProfessionalDevelopment #LeadershipDevelopment #EventRecap #SpeakerSpotlight #Leadership

UCF EM and UCF ISO co-hosted the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service - TEEX offering of MGT-456 “Integration of Cybersecurity Personnel into the EOC for Cyber Incidents” training. This class is a great opportunity for EOC teams and information security offices to train together before an actual incident. It was an informative and fun-filled 3 days. A special thanks to David Zambri for doing what the University of Central Florida Knights are best at, leading the charge. GKCO!

Our instructional team recently delivered a "Public Information in an All-Hazards Incident" course in American Samoa. 🌴 This training is essential and laser-focused on the critical role of public information during all-hazards incidents. It equips community leaders, incident managers, and public information officers (PIOs) with practical crisis communication techniques. Clear and effective communication with the public, including modern and traditional media—is vital in the face of a major incident. We are proud to be part of this important work, delivered by our TEEX Fire and Emergency Services team under the Cooperative Agreement with DHS/FEMA. #TEEX #TEEXTrained #CrisisCommunication #PublicInformation #EmergencyManagement #CommunityResilience #ESTI #DHSFEMA
