About us
Since its 1951 founding, the philosophy of the Atlanta Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. has been that, with proper guidance and opportunity, every child can be a leader. We are part of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. the largest African American family organization in the nation with 262 chapters representing 70,000+ family members. This membership organization of mothers with children ages 2-19 is dedicated to raising the next generation of African American leaders while enhancing the lives of all children through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving, and civic duty. With a lasting legacy since 1938, Jack and Jill, Inc. has promoted the public awareness and interests of children including leadership development, child growth, child quality of life, child care and the promotion of children’s rights. Chapter programming is the "heart" of the organization so each chapter plans annual activities guided by National Program Thrusts: Cultural, Education, Civic/Legislative, Health, and Social/Recreational. Overall, Jack and Jill, Inc. is a voice for the Black Family, as we honor the theme, "The Power to Make a Difference for All children. On Mission. Purpose."

Got a sec? Take some time to get to know our 2024 BLBT7 Beneficiaries! First up is CRIADO. All too often, the cost to participate in fitness and wellnes programs gets in the way of achieving your health and fitness goals. This is where CRIADO comes in. CRIADO is committed to empowering women to prioritize their wellbeing through workshops, classes, and collective spaces that nourish the mind, body, and community. TurningPoint Breast Cancer Rehabilitation Center is doing great work to support breast cancer survivors, caregivers, and healthcare providers. TurningPoint was created to improve the quality of life for patients with breast cancer through specialized and evidence-based rehabilitation, including physical and massage therapy, nutritional counseling, lymphedema screening and management, emotional support and tailored fitness classes. We all know that it takes a village to support our youth and young adults to be the best that they can be. Raising Expectations empowers youth in crises by elevating academic, social and civic expectations to facilitate high school graduation and post-secondary plans. Serving multiple counties throughout the Atlanta metro area, and surrounding counties, The Center for Children & Young Adults provides a home for youth who have been abused, neglected, and/or abandoned by their caregivers. Their three-building campus offers four residential programs in a dormitory setting for up to 42 youth at one time in need of shelter, treatment, care and guidance. Last but certainly not least is the Jack and Jill Foundation. Their mission is to invest in programs and services that create a strong foundation for children to thrive long-term. The Foundation believes that every child deserves access to quality education, healthcare, and a safe and nurturing environment. One of their signature programs is the GAP Fund which currently spans 30 of the 107 HBCUs, providing financial gifts—not scholarships—ranging from $250 to $2000 to eligible graduating seniors based on need. This program has helped increase the graduation rates at participating HBCUs by helping to eliminate financial barriers. You can help support these awesome organizations!
