US Airways Flight 1549 lands on the Hudson River (flown by Captain Sullenberger - no casualties) 6. Michael Jackson dies (same day The BWC holds its first informational meeting) 7. H1N1 Flu was declared a global pandemic (a vaccine was created in October) 8. Parks and Rec, Glee, Modern Family and The Jersey Shore debuted 9.
